i would go 75, i don't think an extre 5 is going to eat up your gas mileage

what do you wanna do with the car long term?

In the long term i am gonna basically rebuild the motor stock maybe better heads not sure yet, I just wanna keep it fairly close to stock but have some Extra HP, I will not be racing it at all, It will be a summer driver for me...It's kinda a mid life crisis thing for me or so the wifey says...LOL

then either TB will be fine, i just don't think it make a huge difference, especially for a mild dd

my frame of mind is such to go for more...

my short answer, no big diff, i'd go 75

Ok Thanks Rick, So you are saying that by adding the new TB and the upper intake is actually a waste of time? Is their any advantages to putting these on??

Use the 75 and use the t/f upper plenum and youll be fine, hat was the same set up I had (I had a ford racing t/b) and never once had an issue.

yeah, you'll flow more air, and that's all good, but you aren't going to get a huge HP bump... i think of it almost as a supporting mod for more effective power adding mods like port polished heads, cams, intake, supercharger, that kinda thing...

if you aren't looking for big hp, i wouldn't even bother, if i were doing my car as a straight up daily driver, i'd look for ways to make it comfy, like my stereo system, sound deadening, that kinda thing... you're looking at performance parts, so that thought has entered your mind... i'd go with the 75, but don't limit yourself to summit, try CJ pony parts, rpm outlet, and any number of our sponsors they'll cut ya a break...

bolt ons for a 96-98 motor is useless. you could do EVERY bolt on and still only have 210whp or so.... the non PI heads just do not support enough airflow N/A in my opinion to justify keeping them for a N/A car.

bolt ons are merely cosmetic mods in my opinion when put on a N/A 2v non PI....

take it from someone with a boosted NPI, just go PI first, unless you plan on putting some good money into the NPI heads. Nick at modularheadshop can make them flow pretty well, but it cost a penny. i guess it all depends on your goal, i wouldnt spend the time doing anything with stock NPI heads though.

I was always under the assumption (probably from reading this forum) that with PI cams and a PI intake manifold you could forgo PI heads and make some decent power with a few other bolt ons...

that's true, depends on what you mean by decent... i mark that at 300+ which you wont get there with pi cams and intake and bolt ons... i wouldn't consider keeping npis if they weren't p/p and then i'd only want them to keep compression low for boost
