Been wanting to remove the aftermarket skirt either side on the lower rear bumper, but unscrewed it today and there's really strong adhesive on there holding it on, any tips for getting it off without damaging the bumper? Had a go at just pulling it off but it's that type of double sided tape that looks spongy if you know what I mean, see pic below just so you know what kind of skirt i'm dealing with, I don't like the look of it at all, thanks for any help

carefully slide a putty knife in there to cut the foamy stuff.
If your worried about scratching the paint, just wrap some tape around the edges of the knife.
After you get the piece out of your way then you can work on getting the rest of the tape off.

I am not big on them either, but rather then be left with the glue residue I would leave them there. I thought they were a rare piece only on the imports?

use a hair dryer. put on hot setting and start to pull slowly. it'll come off. don't use a heat gun. it'll bubble the paint and mess up the bumper.
