after much deliberation and comments from the forum I've decided to lower my rear end some, I don't like the whole racked look... just wondering if I cut a 1/4 of a coil out of my springs if it would mess them up in any way? make them weak etc. any tips would be appreciated.

1/8" top and bottom? Still would try it, rear springs are so easy too compared to the front. Could always get some adjustable lower control arms that let you set the height where you want it.

Cutting springs is a not a big deal, especially when you cutting off quarter of the coil. If you're going to cut rear, make sure you are cutting from the bottom, where the pig tail is. I would cut eighth of an inch at a time as well. It's better to cut off not enough, than cut off too much.
