Curious...for those of you that change your own oil, what else do you check over at each oil change? i. e. do you check the diff every time...etc....

At every oil change I check all underhood fluids (coolant, brake fluid, easher, etc) I also triple check every spark plug boot is tight and look at the air filter

Every other oil change I put on new wipers (overkill yes but I would rather spend a couple bucks then be on the road in the rain with no vision)

Tranny and diff fluid I change once every other year or so, if you don't have a leak there is no real reason to check them and all that synthetic fluid gets pricey

I inspect the underside while im under there, check all fluids, check wheel bearings every other, tires for nails, etc, brakes for wear, among other things. oil leaks are always being looked at.

ic, well my diff started leaking the other day, its at home now, im driving my pick up now. But i tried to take the fill plug out of the front of the diff and it was a bear, i never did get it, not enough room under the car when its on ramps. So i'm thinking about putting a Mac/ford racing/whoever diff cover on it that has the fill and drain plug on the back where its easily accessible. Plus the diff is leaking out of the gasket so the cover comes off anyways....

The drain and fill plugs are great, I put a TA performance one on my last GT and plan to do the same on this one

if you get a new diff cover remember not to fill the fluid up the the fillhole but to check exactly how much fluid to use
