going from high flow cats to catless is going to be much much different then going from the stock H pipe to off-road. I'm honestly not sure the difference will be that great.

ok well my attempt today failed, forgot about the last time i had it off, i used an impact gun on the collectors. also found 2 nails in my passenger rear 275 today, one is going through the tread and out the sidewall fml right... at least its not leaking, the 2nd of the two all i can see is the head of the nail and its burried deap in the tire.

more important things on my list now then bashing some cats out...

pros: tiny hp gain, better sound - depends if we're talking about stock of after market cats.

cons: stinks, fumes, emissions hastle

With a vert the fumes can just suck with the top down and if you get caught in traffic.

I'd just buy a used O/R mid pipe. See them for as little as $50.

Putting a o/r H and magnaflow system on my car made it loud, but after I did the HCI swap, the exhaust got RIDICULOUS loud, somedays I want to through in a few regulators to quiet things down a little. This is coming from a guy who does DD my stang too, except for winter. The smell sucks in traffic, but I got used to it lol. Friends says always ask why my car smells of gas, I tell them "the price to pay for horsepower" :p

the smell of gas does not bother me. i've worked at two gas stations and i used to daily drive a 1960 vw bug slammed on its guts. that cars gas tank never sealed well needless to say the car stunk of fuel.

as for the flows yeah they gotta go, maybe my friends 3 inch dynomax mufflers will go on.

im also thinking about laying the car up for the winter. but that means i have no transportation...
