Removing side skirts/rocker panel covers

Is there a special tool needed to remove the side skirts? Removing them to get 'em painted. Most of the clips are already off/missing on one side, but I don't want to do any damage to them removing the rest.

Not sure on how you remove them, sorry. I do know that when they are off, there's lots of holes! Thought I had a better pic of mine when they were off. Can't really see them. There are members on here that can help ya!

ive looked at removing mine and gave up.. they are hella confusing considering they are just side skirts. lol.

Removed mine many times. There are plugs on the bottom that need to come out first, 8-10 I believe. The screws on each side also need to come out. The only tough part is waht remains... you have to pull striaght up on the skirt towards the front top part. Each time moving about 6." Let me know if you have any more ?s.

I did mine to get one re-painted what a job, did Ford to need to make it more difficult than pulling the motor. ;)

motor: 25 bolts, 6 beers, and a saturday.
side skirts: 10 clips, 6 bolts, 132 beers, 3 weeks, two best friends, and a partrige in a pear tree...
