Why would you want a 96-98 cobra style hood??? Imo they are hideous. I mean it's your car but I'd rather get the 01 cobra r hood.
The 96-98 hood only blends well with the rest of the cobra appearance.
That's like putting 94-98 cobra wheels on a GT it just doesn't look right

Different strokes for different folks I guess. I like the Cobra style, they're shark-ish looking. I like the Cervini Ram Air too, but am not going to spend that much money on a hood - I'd just keep the stock.

The cobra hood looks awesome on GT's.
Rabbit; ck the details very carefully on the hood. 1 may come with the scoops and 1 may not.

Cobra hood is one of the best hoods made for a mustang. Absolutely awesome.

Why not get a raised cobra hood that is a functional cowl since you are thinking of replacing?

of course itl cost you. So it may not be in your budget

Considering that the general opinion of these hoods seems to be unfavorable (I happen to like them), I would see about locating a good deal on stocker in good condition. Nothing beats a factory fit.

Neither include the scoops, those are becoming harder and harder to find

OK, thanks for the info. I saw the small print on one of the sites but not the other, so neither comes with scoops. Silly question - can I get used scoops and use those?

I would trade my Cobra R hood for a 96-98 cobra hood any day of the week.

If you can find them yes, OEM ones will fit fine

Cobra hoods are hard to come by. Because most cobra owners wont take them off. I took mine off because of some damage that if someone was good with fiberglass could fix.. Otherwise it will be mounted on my wall at some point. And I will NOT take the scoops out of it.

Ford wanted 1k for the hood. 600 for our bumper. Found a hood in a junkyard and snagged it up. That hood went on Greenscoobies car since it didnt need painting and was E9.

Just gotta look around man.. Check on svtp and corrall.. most people ask 200-250 picked up.
