Small update: Had the car on the scale yesterday. Looks like the latest round of weight reduction was a pretty successful one, totaling at 160 lbs lost. The following items have made this possible.

1. Removal of side skirts
2. Removal of factory seat belts
3. Removal of airbags
4. Replacement of stock steering wheel with Sparco
5. Replacement of reclining driver seat with non reclining
6. Removal of sound deadening material.
7. Removal of all speakers and rear amps, except for tweeters
8. Removal of carpeting and floor mats
9. Removal of headliner, dome light and passenger sun visor
10. Removal of door panels, center console, a pillar moldings, and rocker sill moldings.

After all of this, the car sits at 3140 lbs on the scale with full tank. I am coming up with more ways to lose weight on the car. Stay tuned. The goal is to lose another 140 lbs to make it 3000 lbs even.

Thanks guys. The seat is actually very comfortable, which is a lot better than then my last fixed back seat experience.

The new seat looks great!! I'd be willing to bet your previous Sparco seat is about as comfortable as my Corbeau Forza Sport. I'm all but regretting the purchase.

The seat I had before was Sparco Torino II, which was really comfortable. I put roughtly 6 years and 100k miles on it, and it is still good. When they were new, they were 600 a piece however. Luckily for me I found a pair on CL for 700.

A bit of a small update. Took the car to dyno shop to make sure that the tune can be cleaned up a bit around the idle. They took care of that, and got to do some dyno pulls. At the end the car made 364 rwhp and 364 rwtq, which is a like 4 rwhp better than last time around (AC and Smog pump removed). My favorite part of the dyno is seeing how well balanced the motor is. I get 300 rwtq at 2000 rpm, peak power is at 5700 rpm, and power is pretty much flat from 5000 to 6700. And the car sounds awesome.

Bro that's slick power there! I bet it feels like a rocket ship with all your weight reduction! Looks like you peak torque right around 4500 right? Should help to dial in some shift points as well

I already have a very light billet flywheel. If I remember correctly, it's 14 lbs. ACT Superlight built for nuetral balance motor. That looks like a two piece, which I'm not a fan of, not to mention if it is a two piece, it's missing the friction surface. As far as the gears go, I'm not looking to change to anything at the moment. I already have 3.55 gears from Ford Racing and Torsen T2R.

Thanks. I've plotted out the speed in gears and, if I shift at 6500 rpm, it looks like each shift drops me into anywhere between 3800 rpm (1st to 2nd) to 4400 rpm (2nd to 3rd) to 5000 rpm (3rd to 4th). The car still makes the power there in every gear, so it feels pretty quick. According to dyno graph, it looks like in every shift I'm still making power. Maybe shifting 3rd to 4th might be better at 6000 rpm.

Edit: Graph below.

I would shift at 6 from 3 to 4 so you drop back down to your peak torque. It might not be a huge difference, but it could be enough to cut a second or two!

Funny enough, I think I may actually have to detune the car for a class, if I decide to run in proposed TT4 for next year. We'll have to see I guess.

Well, I was building for TT3, however the news are that there will be a new class next year valued TT4, with slightly lower power to weight clarification. Right now as the car sits, I'm 9.3 index, which puts me in the middle of TT3. I would have up gain power and lose weight in order to be at the sharp end of that class with upper limit of 8.0. Our I could detune 35 rwhp, and be at 10.0, which should put me into TT4, if this class will be around next year

I could be wrong, but isn't TT4 supposed to be 12 to 1 and TT3 10 to 1?

I am pretty sure it's a range. TT3 is between 8.0 to 10.0. Proposed TT4 will handle 10.0 to 12.0. Your TTB will most likely be affected.

TT1/ST1 = or > than 5.5:1, TT2/ST2 = or > than 8.00:1, TT3/ST3 = or > 10.00:1, Proposed TT4/ST4/PT4 = or > 12.00:1

And page seven of https://nasa-assets.s3.amazonaws.com/document/document/481/2016_Time_Trial_Official_Rules.pdf

Also there is a specfic way they use to obtain the Hp/Wt Ratio for TT3 which should be used for all other number classes next year. (Page 43 and 44 of 2016 Rule Book)
So your max HP would actually be around 350, just guessing at what the actual HP number are at the required data points. Edited.

Looks like I misunderstood the rules, guess I'm in TT2. I'm aware of the average hp calculation as well, I just haven't crunched those number yet.

I just crunched the numbers again, and it looks like it won't take much for me to run in TT3. I think a detune of 15 rwhp or something like that will bump me down into that class. And I won't have to remove any more weight.

This just keeps getting better and better. Apparently I also fall under OEM Aero rule, so looks like I don't have to modify anything at all. As of right now, I'm 10.04 index, which makes it top of TT3.
