A quick update. Yesterday, I've attempted to install the seat using side mount brackets. The seat turned out to be too high and too close to the steering wheel. That would have been fine, if I were 5 foot 2, but it will not work with roll bar front hoop, so looks like aside from fabricating the rest of the cage, the fabricator will have to make a new flat mount as well, something lower and further back.

A slight update. What's coming next:

1. Radiator upgrade: I've ordered a brand new Ron Davis direct fit radiator. I've already received it, and it's the beautiful.
2. Removal of sound deadening: Sound deadening material will be removed from all interior, and the floor pan will be repainted white.
3. Mounting of Sparco Seat: As it turns out, you can't mount the race seat on the side mounts and to the bottom flat mount. The seat it too high and too close to the steering wheel. So a new custom mount will be welded to the floor and the seat will be mounted to that. Whether or not I'll be using a slider, that remains to be seen.
4. Installation of the Sparco steering wheel: Sparco steering and quick release will be installed, and all airbag related hardware will be removed. Standard seat belts will be removed as well.

Stay tuned, the pictures are coming in a few weeks.

I came up with the idea of that a little while back, once I realized that basically any kind of event will push pretty much all of the fluid out of the pump, regardless of how big the cooler is. I'm also running hydraboost, so I'm sure that doesn't help.

do you plan on adding any additional aero to the car such as a splitter or rear wing? the reason I ask is because to be competitive in TT number classes almost every car I've seen has at least those 2 components.

Yeah, aero is coming. I wanted to really sort out chassis before I start overcomplicating things by adding aero. I think I'm pretty much there, along with some more weight reduction. After that's done, I'll start looking into getting splitter made along with diffuser, possibly some floor work. I'll probably get off the shelf wing to finish it off.

Thanks guys. The seat is actually very comfortable, which is a lot better than then my last fixed back seat experience. I'm going back on a dyno in about a week, to check if the tune is right after all this time, and additionally change a few things as well, such as idle speed, fan on off temps, and work on that annoying stumble around 1500 rpm. Other than that, the car is a beast, pulls really hard. I will possibly also do a corner balance, and that will be it for this year.

Where did you get the hydroboost from? had one made for my '72 and the pedal feel kinda sucks but does the job. Stops pretty dam good.

96-04 parts. You need the hydroboost unit and pedal box to complete the job. If your brakes work fine though, I would not do it. Hydroboost pedal feel is awful.

I freaking hate it on mine, really considering swapping to a manual setup because the only real power assist option out there for the DOHC engine is the hydroboost.
