What I'm looking for is for something to give me clearance when the suspension is compressed, so I don't touch the fender with the tire. I think I'll actually be ok with the current setup, but I'll find out soon enough.

Do you currently get rubbing with compression?

Also, would you say the K-member is required to run the 10" RPF1's?

By b/s I assume you mean bump-steer? So the spacer was necessary for you? And you are on stock K-member/stock A-arms, or aftermarket?

back spacing. stock k member and a-arms, though I'm positive that anything short of off set units would not make a difference.

I'm sure sure if it's rubbing, but like I said, I'll find out soon enough. I've got a track day coming up in a month, so I'll know then. You do not need an aftermarket k-member to run 10 inch wheels.

Alright, excellent, looking forward to it. The coilovers came in the mail today, so I've got to get them on and the new pads. Based on your feedback and some trial fitting, I might be heading the 10" wide route like you.

Custom fender stretching and quarter panel stretching is I guess the only real option for a nice look on the street too .. The red sn95 with compression wheels and custom splitters pulled it off nicely

Hey ReplicaR, you mentioned (I believe in another post) that you are looking to get into TT this year? Are there any restrictions that you car violates - what class are you planning on running? I know CMC is pretty restrictive when it comes to mods, and some SCCA classes are restrictive as well, just curious about what class you are aiming for.

I'm not planning to get into class racing. That would require yanking out AC, interior and caging it, putting more parts on, perhaps taking stuff off, stuff I don't want to do right now, because this is still a full street car. I think TT is a perfect fit for time being. I know that tracking the car without a cage isn't all that safe, and in TT sometimes you get into wheel to wheel, even though laptime is the king. I still have all the factory safety equipment, so the car is still fairly safe. I think I will tally up the points some time soon, see which class I fall into (either TTA or TTS), and then either scale down, or upgrade to the limit of the class.

Well, decided that I'm going to gear the car. Went with 3.55s and a Ford Racing rebuild kit (CF clutch packs). Hope this will be awesome.

I run 3.55's - I like them. They were prefect for the autocross course I was running locally.

I've crunched some numbers, and realized that with my power level, and range, 3.55 is a good fit for local tracks. Going from 3.08 rear end will probably feel fairly stout.

You had 3.08s? Holy crap, yeah that thing will definitely wake up! I have 3.55s in my car also I really like them, a huge improvement over 2.73s haha.

I kept my 3.08s for the range mostly. Going with 3.73s like everyone told me to do, I would be going way past the powerband of stock engine, which would be pointless.

Yup, I crunched the numbers as well - 3.55 was just about right. If you are into drag, then maybe not so much. On a road course it's a different story :)

I run 3:73 and IMO it's too much gear. 5th gear is useless, and there are plenty of tracks that need it. I'm debating going back to 3:27 and have a solid 4 speed (not using 5th), or upgrading to closer ratio 5th.

IMO on a road course you hardly get under 40-50, I think I have only 1 track that I get into 2nd gear for a turn. So higher speed is much more important, and when you shift into 5th it feels like you're towing something.

RichV, check out the V6 5th gear ratio - would that work for you? That's what I have right now (by accident really).

Well, the gears are installed. First thing I noticed is how eager the car is to get off the line. Feels way nicer to drive off the line now, really liking the gear selection. As far as the speed goes, I’m not sure I feel a huge gain in acceleration, but then again, I really haven’t had a chance to fully test it. The car is in the shop getting a coolant overflow bottle installed. Once that is complete, I am registering for the track weekend, and get to find out how well the sum of the parts I’ve put into it will act.
