Alright, now what made you say machined vs the chrome?

Just a personal preference honestly, both look great... Quite frankly all the options you mentioned would go well with your car. I just prefer machined over chrome. I think i lost my love for chrome from constantly seeing all of the pitted and completely rusted out chrome wheels in ohio lol. It's all up to you though, I'd take either one if I got a deal on them!

That's kind of where I am on my thoughts. They all would look good I think but these replica chrome wheels we have floating around here start to flake and pit in a pretty short amount of time, and we don't even have to worry about salt!

i vote machined 03 cobras also. as for the vinyl bubbling from the door panel. that is fixable if you have a hard time finding door panels. the paint came out nice though man.

Alright, so I was trolling the craigslist this past weekend and came across a cobra front bumper. The guy wanted $150 and the bumper needed some repair. I talked to him a little bit and then offered him $100. Then I never heard from him again, so I felt as though I should let the bumper situation go for now because it wasn't meant to be. Then I found a guy parting out a 97 Cobra. He was taking the drivetrain and all the electronics, but didn't need the body. So I called, he had the bumper and told me another guy looked at it that day and said he was coming back to get it but never showed. I took a ride over there.

Found this

Then the guy told me he would take $25 for the bumper, fogs, corners, and header panel.

The bumper didn't sag anywhere and felt really solid, so I thought it had to be aftermarket.
It was factory.

Got all that, the I went to pick up some exhaust for a fellow member here, from a fellow member here lol. While I was getting the exhaust he shows me a 13" brake kit, so I said "here take my money"

Then I "mached up" my Cpotts13 big brake kit (pun intended) lol

So today I will probably get started pulling my dash so I can work on getting the rest of my wiring hidden. I want to run my transmission harness from inside the car down through the trans tunnel so I cannot be seen from the engine bay.

Nice score on the bumper man! Everyone around me wants $300 for a factory cobra front cover. Looks like it's coming along pretty well

Thanks man! Its not doing as much as I would like but I have very limited time to work on it so I make due with what I have lol. I never really thought I was going to end up with the bumper cover, and even if I didn't want it I could have bought it and flipped it to make some cash.

Wow, what a steal of a deal. I don't even like the cobra bumper, but you got yours for a really good price, and you are making good progress. Looking good, man. Keep it up.

Got something in the mail today from the5.ohh

Cant wait to get those put on!
On another note, I used my lunch break and a little shop time today

Overall, between customers showing up, and getting phone calls, the job only took about 45 minutes. Really quite easy to pull, I was surprised. Now I can work on getting my harness where I want it and I think I am going to shove a new heater core in there while its all apart.

Then on a side note, SN90FiveOh had to fix a coworkers truck while he was out of town, did real professional like work!

Got it lookin good

He had a complaint of slow acceleration, almost no torque, and the brakes just felt spongey. I think the badge will fix all the major problems. It's also good for about 35 horses.
