What’s your plan for the rear? Do you still have the stock diff? Are you going to change it?

4.10’s it’s a track loc . If I do change it will be to a spool . It’s got some nice axles already

Went to install the rear today and found my old atv jack wouldn’t jack anymore. So a trip to harbor freight got me a new one. Then got back home and went to work. I got it mounted back up in the car, tomorrow I should have it all installed. Then I move back to the front to install my headers and power steering. Man seeing that gear oil bottle reminded me something i read like a week ago. Ment to pass the info on to you, but forgot.

Reading about gear oils over on speedtalk forums a few oil claimed gurus mentioned the use of "gear oil" and aluminum components will degrade to the gear oil chemicals....and of course they use the big chemical words and give a breakdown what it does.

I just thought it was interesting and wonder even if no component in the rearend is aluminum other than the housing, if the housing sustained degrade. You know kinda like acid dipping metals. The dip takes a little of the surface.

Headers, starter, k member, mid pipe, and steering rack all installed today. Have to order offset rack bushings, because the power rack is bigger than the manual rack and it’s too close to the pan. Going to start fabbing brackets for the power steering pump on Sunday. It’s getting closer each time. IMG_1081.jpegIMG_1080.jpegIMG_1084.jpegIMG_1093.jpeg
