They are 28x6-18 that my buddy James aka @SN90FiveOh got for his ‘20 gt. He let me give them a try last night since he couldn’t make it to the track. I like them though, they are a little too tall for my car but they look cool.
I’m putting my new headers on today. Hopefully have it finished up in a few hours. What’s next William?
Pull the engine back out and build a new one with 12.5:1 compression forged pistons. Reassemble and probably spray it with 100 shot. Going for 10’s in the quarter lol.I always loved the way their harmonic balancers looked.
So what's next William?
If you have a sound clip on the hooker mufflers that would be greatSince the last update, I have installed the new headers and swapped out the flowmaster flow-fx mufflers in favor of a set of Hooker Max flow mufflers. Also had the exhaust shape bent me up a 3” H-pipe. The car sounds great now! It’s quiet at idle and light acceleration, with no drone while cruising, then it screams at wide open throttle. I’ll have to find a way to get some exhaust clips.
Also swapped out the harmonic balancer in favor of an innovators west damper. It made the engine noticeably smooth, not to mention it looks bad ass.

And while I was in town Monday, it started running hot. The new fan I put in a month ago already kicked the bucket. So I put in another one. I’ll soon be looking for better alternatives.

It is the 2v rad/fan setup. I kept the mishimoto radiator I already had in the car. It works just fine with the coyote, I used the stock coyote upper hose. The only “custom” part was the lower hose and I used one from a 4.0 Jeep and it worked perfectly. What is your rad/fan setup? Curious if you tried to adapt the 2v cooling system?
I will see if I can make something happen. If you have a sound clip on the hooker mufflers that would be great
Hah! Didn’t make it lol. Swapping to second gen cams and timing, apparently they time different than first gen. So upon start up, it ran terribly. I am not making it to the track today, but I am going to tear it back down tonight.Glad to see your still having fun with it. Let us know how the track goes!
