wow, I can see that alot more thought and research has gone into handling on my part than some people on here. That's ok - I joined expecting 99% of everyone to insult my ride, with the exception of LilRoush...thank you.

Let me address the haters first:

@Rick_slayer, I have nothing but respect for Hondas, and there's a BIG difference between a RICER and a TUNER. Anyone who has been around racing as much as I have knows this. The Honda you seem intent on bashing has smoked Z06's at the strip, and after adding a turbo and being dynoed, has been rated at 650 hp to the wheels. Pretty sure no V8 on this forum, Cobra or otherwise could touch that. Power to weight ratio. 3000+ lbs vs. 1800 lbs. You do the math.

@MadStang, with the exception of my MUFFLER, my N95's exhaust IS STRAIGHT-THRU. No cats, no resonators. Straight pipe from the LTs back. And don't even get me started on how raspy and awful 3.8s sound with straight dual exhaust.

@ba#97, I've never seen another N95 or 197 lowered more than 2 inches, so I don't quite understand the skepticism on how it handles. You only need to look at MadStang's pic to see that the N95s have ridonkulous body roll. The factory suspension is designed for comfort, not cornering. I owned a 1995 V6 before this one, and I lowered it 2" with springs, and it obviously improved the cornering, but my white one would run circles around it. 45 degree curves at 100 MPH are nothing for it. As for the street racing, I've been doing it for 10 years, and I'm certain everyone on here has atleast done a few from a redlight here and there. If you had took the time to read my post with the links, I CLEARLY say that there are NO ROAD COURSE VIDS.

@bonestock3.8: There IS a race against a Jetta, and if you had read the description, you would know why there's vids of the Honda and 6G72. Both are on the same team as me, so naturally we video each other's rides occasionally. Why that kind of exhaust? (I refuse to say fart can). Simply because, duals sound like S*** on a 3.8.

@g36monkey: The handling on my N95 is where it is the strongest. I've overtaken new Camaros on the highway simply because they cant enter and glide through curves at the speeds I can. I've done 45* curves @ 100 mph and the tires never even chirped. It needs downforce now though. The stock spoiler is useless, and just for looks. Let me tell you, at 125 MPH, the rear really starts to shake its bon bon.

Finally, @ LilRoush, who was kind enough to respect my ride more than anyone else, the front geometry has suffered, but the cornering ability Ive got in exhange is well worth it. Also, when I say Eibach springs, I don't mean the pro kit, I mean the UPR Pro Series coilovers, which come with Eibach 10" springs.

There is nothing wrong about working up a v6 Mustang doing exhaust building up the supsension its cool, Im putting IRS in my car soon enough and doing other things to my car, its just when you put a F*CKING FART CAN on your car is when people start looking at you like you are an idiot. And yes there are Fast Hondas out there but you're not going to "just" put a turbo on one and it make 650 horsepower at the tires, and you know what having a 12 second honda is like coming out of the closet you're going to surprise a lot of people but at the end of the day you're still gay. When I first saw your car I liked its look but dude you put a fart can on it that just kills it for me. You act like your car is some hardcore racer when its just a v6 Mustang with exhaust and lowered 4 inches

I wouldn't say 180-190 rwhp Id say maybe 160-170 cause g36 Monkey has a built 4.3 Stroker making 205 at the tire so his cold air kit exhuast and a tune isn't going to produce that much.

Most I've dyno'd stock were in the 155-165 rwhp range, so I was using that as a base line.

I've been there - white car and all. I started off thinking a lower center of gravity would help more than keeping the geometry right (keeping the A arms in a position to make best use of the strut and steering arm). I ran it like that and had been lap times then stock. After a few classes and seat time, I found out for myself lower isn't always better. I raised it up (was running Ground Pounder coilovers with Bilsteins) and I cut seconds off my lap times with no other changes. Just something to think about.

I also got rid of my long tubes. They added power up high in the RPM range, but the place my car suffered was down low on the track. I could corner with the best of them, but it sucked getting speed after coming out of the corner. I redid the exhaust using stock manifolds, catted H pipe and Spin Tech side exit mufflers. It made peak tq alot lower in the RPM range. Peak HP is good for dyno sheets and forum signatures, but usable power is all that matters on the road courses.

I get what you mean now about the springs. Makes sense. What rate are you thinking of?

In the end I went with this:
Up front - tubular K member, fox body tubular A arms, '01 Roush Stage 3 springs (cut one coil), fox body Bilstein HD, Roush sway bar, 13" front rotors (Baer), Roush calipers, SS lines, Hawk HP pads, Flaming River rack and pinion, Steeda x2 ball joints.
Out back - Roush tubular lower control arms, stock uppers, '01 RS3 springs, fox body Bilstein HD, 13" rotors (Baer), Hawk HP pads, stock GT sway bar.

I ran strut tower and shock tower braces from Kenny Brown for awhile, but got rid of both when I supercharged the car. Didn't see a loss afterwards.

Are you thinking of a different wheel/tire combo for track use? I ran 18x9/18x10 combo for awhile, but switched to a set of 17x8 running 275/40 R compound all around and could carry more speed into the corners.

I suspect a troll... if not I feel bad for this dude... I can't believe how long it took for someone point out his IRS crap and hp claims. However road courses are definitely the way to go.

I'm trying to be nice and constructive. I know a lot of guys who think lowering a car to the ground makes it a road course car. They just need pointed in the right direction.

I just noticed this comment... This dude is definitely a troll. 45° at 100mph, the fart can has magical powers... must be nice driving an F1 car on the streets... end

Would you reccomend not getting long tubes then? I was planning on getting long tubes, and no cats to help squeeze some more power out of mine.

I did long tubes way back when... but for me personally they didn't cut the program. They hit everywhere and I missed the low end tq. The stock manifolds aren't even a real issue with flow restriction until you hit about 350 hp. I even ran stock manifolds with the blower on the 4.2L.

I didn't even read this thread or watch the videos at first, but after coming back today and doing so I have to say if I saw/heard your car on the road I wouldn't be able to keep myself from laughing!

Your comments above further solidify this fact.

If you are in fact a troll then kudos.

F**k this. I joined this forum only a day ago hoping to have a civilized conversation with fellow N95 owners, but obviously what people say is true - people with V8s are DICKS. I'm a grown man, and I don't have the time to sit here and be insulted because people can't grasp a simple concept like diversity. This is the last post from me, so good luck to you all with your builds, and maybe I will see you at the track someday.....in my rearview. Peace out.

There's nothing wrong with six cylinder mustangs. I can appreciate anything with hard work put into it. My car is not the best thing in the world, but I love it, and I improve it almost daily.

What kind of long tubes did you have?

Sorry for all the questions :)

Matt, you are so right lol

I had them custom done at Excalibur Exhaust (Denton, TX). Guy lived down the road from me and hooked me up. LTs, catted X into my Spin Techs. At that point there was only Mac LTs... and it was cheaper doing it custom.

It's not a V6 or V8 thing... it's a knowledge thing. If you want to make a V6 race car, go for it. You do realize MadStang (a guy you are making fun of) had a full out road race V6 right (as in the pics), and I built my V6 to be a track car as well. One thing you won't find is real track guys talking smack like 120+ on public roads, talking about 45 degree turns at 100 and offering poor tech. The thing is those are known lies - and you don't need to tell us those things.
I tried to be constructive by saying there is more to a road course car than coilovers. You are a far cry from a track car there, but you can learn and make one... and enjoy it. Just listen to the guys who have done it. I learned the hardway trying to do it all myself. I wasted a lot of time and money reinventing the wheel (so to speak).

Hey, if you wanna play 'tough guy' then they were right, and you are letting them win.
