rocker panels and seam sealer

Anybody have tips for removing the rocker panels? Trying not to break anything. Also on the trunk hinge where it meets the body, is that seam sealer or some other type material? I have to cut mine out to remove the hinge for a quarter replacement and I'm trying to recreate the factory look where it kinda looks like it's pooled up into the space...if that makes any sense..

I have had a similar tool in my box now for over 20 years and it gets used more often then you would think. Its nice and handy to get a good amount of force to remove things that are in tight places or just tough to get a hold of.
