A cat... a good hunting cat. Not all are. We have one.

There are fields in front and behind my house. We get mice and the occasional rat. Never had mouse issues here until our cat of 13 years died. Within the week, we started getting mice in the house. Chewed up two dishwasher drain lines... and the drain lines on mine are a special order. (go figure)

I'm not a fan of cats.... but my wife kept on about it, so I told her to go to the shelter. She went to a local cat-only shelter and brought one home. He lives outside. If it lands, runs or digs on our property, that cat goes after it. Never had to read him a job description or anything. He took to it. Killed two mice in the house. After that, we move him outside. He's a light eater (of regular cat food) but he will drop birds, squirrels, frogs, mice and rats on the door step to keep us up to speed on his work product.

LOL, we had awesome cats when we lived in CenCal. We’d get gopher guts, rat heads, mice hind quarters right at our doorstep …but since we moved to SoCal, cats aren’t doing their job. But they died, so by default I have had to resort to this…

We have snakes around, too! Rattlesnakes, Gopher & King. The squirrels and gophers have engineered a labyrinth of tunnels so I’m not shooting coyotes for a while with hopes they’ll help diminish that population. Meantime, it’s traps and pellet rifle or .17 HMR

Currently went out of my car to discover mice ate through a couple things in my car, a shirt, a wendys ketchup packet and they created a nest under my intake, to make a long story short, what do mice like to go for. Where should I start looking just incase there is damage. My house in on a corner right next to the woods so im pretty good at repelling them from the house lol
