Rubbing noise with passengers

I'm havin some rubbing noise coming from my rear suspension. It mostly happens when I'm driving with 3 passengers and obviously the added weight is a factor. I get a rubbing type noise when taking sharp turns or going over bumps. I have Maximum Motorsport street springs, which ride very stiff to begin with, but they dont lower too much either. I had the springs, isolaters, new bumpstop and new bilstein struts n shocks installed about 6 months ago. Is this normal for a lowered car with passengers?? :dontknow: I just want to make sure i'm not damaging anything.

Maybe the driveshaft is rubbing on the e-brake cables? climb under there and check it out.

Upper control arm bushings are out of shape.
Do yourself a favor and dont try to replace the bushings alone. Buy new upper arms. Stock ones are fine.

^ How can I check to see if the uca bushings are worn out? Would there be a way to check this before purchasing new ones? I know AM has aftermarket upper and lower arms on sale now for 160$, not sure about the quality though.

There really isnt a way to check unless you can get the car up on a lift or unless they are REALLY out of shape. And even still they MAY not look that bad.
But just think of it this way, they are 12 yrs old, not sure how many miles you have on your car. its probably time for things to start making noise and loosening up and getting replaced.
Not sure what AM has for sale, but I'd check Rock Auto and see what they have for stock replacment upper arms. They are fine for what you most likely do with your car. Dont put poly bushings in there.... :angry7:

My car used to do the same thing and then I replaced the upper arms and while I was in there I replaced the bushings that are on the differential side (where the upper arms mount to the rear axle). All was good after that.

tires rubbing on the wheel wells? thats what happened in my old vert... only because my wheels were the wrong back spacing (for an 05+) i just took a hammer to the wheel wells.
