oh i know it man. had a dodge dakota i bought brand new in 04. didnt have it 6 months and had ramps kick off the tailgate and my brand new 600lb utiility quad hit the tailgate and folded the gate in half and 4 wheeler flipped over. i was livid. just made it worse knowing that i did it myself and was gonna cost myself more money, all because i was too lazy to put the hooks on to hold the ramps :violent1:

definitely would have chased them down, assuming you saw the person do it.

if not, that is BS. my friends have hit cars before and tried to drive off. I tell them to get back there and right a note if there is damage. complete BS, I can't stand people. some are losers I guess.

Sad thing is, seems there are more people who will damage your car then leave without so much as a note than people who will own up to their mistake...

When I was 16, I was involved in an at-fault collision with a parked car (slid sideways on a gravel road and damaged the fender on a parked car) and I immediately stopped, got out of my truck, and knocked on the guy's door. Since I was honest with the guy, we settled on me paying for a new fender and parking lamp, and he didn't bother turning me in. He even said he didn't even hear the collision. Had I not stopped, he'd not have known his car was hit until at LEAST the next day.

Honesty is the best policy.
