Howdy y'all. My old highschool (graduated and started college this year! :headbang:) has a car club. It isn't a class or anything, not even extracurricular, nor does it have a teacher. It was started by the caretaker at the school and only had a few members including myself. For my freshman and sophmore years it was me and Mr.B (caretaker) working on the car by ourselves. After that my sister joined and then my best friend joined.
ANYWAYS, We built a T-Bucket and we still have stuff to do to get it street legal but I was wondering if you guys would like to see some pictures of it.
So what do y'all think? Yes or No?
I can get new pictures every Wednesday too if y'all want. I'm still an active member of the club.

I was apart of a car club in highschool too. We hosted a car show (which I always cleaned show at :) ). The last year we bought a old dodge van that could lift the front wheels.

Here is how the T-Bucket looked at the beginning of my senior year. Small block Chevy 350, forged pistons, mild cam, eddlebrock aluminium intake.

It was a frame for a kit car T-bucket that ended up not being a kit... Leaf-spring front suspension, shocks in the back.

Nice looking car but why do people keep putting 350s in old Fords? It's a damn shame. Either way I'd like to see it when it's done! Always wanted a t-bucket with a blown 302 but never had that kinda cash, lol.

It actually is to the point where it runs, drives, and stops (sometimes. .. maybe. ..if it is in the mood). It's still far from being done though. I'll update y'all with all the pictures that I've got later after I get out of class. Then I'll take more today when I go to car club.

More info on the club please. Does the school sponsor it? Any insurance issues? How often do you meet? Do you host any shows?

Yes the school sponsors it but the budget is really tight. We meet every Wednesday at 3:45. No insurance issues as far as I know. Just have to get it legal and registered. We have not hosted any shows (yet) because we are still working on the car but that is definitely something we want to do. Also we want to register it in parades to represent the school!

Okay guys lots of Pictures incoming!
Test fitting the bucket with our new framework that we did.

THe brackets that we welded in to hold the battery.

Our engine and lots of Misc. wiring plus our steering control and uncovered firewall.

We had almost nothing bolted up to the engine at this point and we were taking it out almost weekly to do framework and brakeline runs.

The alternator is held on by a custom bracket that I designed and fabricated at the school. It's hard to see in the pic so i'll see if I can get a better shot or a shot of the template that i Made. (by the way I was in 9th grade when I did it.

Here you can see our tiny little brakes and some of the front suspension.

This is the old bench seat that we had made and were going to use but decided against.

Bucket back on with battery and fuel tank. Gauges up front but not wired or bolted in yet.

Wiring

Also we laid fiberglass on the entire inside and underside of the body to give it some strength and then we used bedliner to make it pretty.
Here is the engine put together.

The custom firewall that I built out of diamond plate and the bracket that I made for the oil sending unit. Plus the bracket for the trans fluid stick.

The trans fluid cooling line that I made. and all the wires that I ran. I also ran all the brake lines but I don't have any pictures sadly.

Headlights, Horn, Radiator cowl, Windsheild brackets. By the way the Carb that we have on there is a Holley 750 double pumper.

More pics in next post.

Today my sister worked on the turn signals and indicator.

Took the intake off because of a few leaks and cleaned everything up.

These are the new gaskets.

Me tightening it down before we get out the torque wrench to get it all to spec.

Unfortunately my phone died after that so I didnt get a pic of the torque wrenching or the finished product but oh well.

Went to car club again today. There were more people than normal so I kind of just supervised. I'm gonna tell you everything we did here the post up all the pics. I also took pics of the shop to show you what we are working with. Today we put the carbuerater back on and also re-connected all the hoses to it. also re-installed the distributor and the spark plug wires. Got the headers beck on with the new header gaskets. Prepped for next week when we are going to crank it up. We would have done it today but we were completely out of gas.

Radiator hose.
