Heres my first hand experience with professional products, they suck. My car has been idling like a pos ever since I put my 331 in there, I figured it was because it was an untuned 331. I took it to get it tuned. He found a huge vacuum leak at the IAC. Sure all the bolts were tight but there were not tapped far enough into the housing so the IAC wasn't tight up against the TB causing a huge vacuum leak. I dunno how I missed it when I put it together but I did. Next gripe is he told me with the tb on the bench you could look down at the butterfly and could tell one side was opened more than the other. Cheap garbage!

whats wrong? i dont get what the bad thing is... lol

are u mad at the tuner? or the TB?

wouldn't you be mad if the threads were not long enough and cause a huge leak at the iac? The fact that the butterfly doesn't open straight tells me how well these are made. It my fault I bought it. I am wondering does anyone else make a polished version of the 75mm tb?

they are cheaply made, you got what you paid for. Back when they first came to market me and a buddy of mine went to Holcomb Motorsports in Lumberton NC and bought the 5.0 Intake kit they have. From pics in looks like a exact copy of a edelbrock performer, and cost about 2 hundred bucks less. Got it home and OMFG what a crock of crap, the runners were as ruff as a a cow pasture and had waves in it were it was NOT cut straight and smooth. Needless to say both intakes went back the next day.

Professional Products is cheap chinese crap. Edelbrock is made in America and has far superior quality control.

You get what you pay for.

I had a few issues when i first bought my PP TB but where else you gonna find a polished TB for $130. I worked through a few issues and it seems perfect now...

i don't see the problem. Spend $.15 on some washers and call it a day. as for the TB, i'm not sure i understand what you're saying? its not closing completely? does it need the stop filed down?

its worth the savings if you're willing to put some work into it to make it right.

I agree, and, Ha ha. That's what you get. Sorry if that makes me a dick, but PP makes a living ripping off other peoples hardwork and taking money from our economy. They are the epitome of what's wrong with the economy and America's job situation, anyone who buy's their stuff, deserves what they get.

Nah, if I was Vic Edelbrock I'd be racing all the nostalgia racecars that my daughter and I own, and couldn't care less about some crazy Chinese company. :)

as retarded and much junk PP puts out, edelbrock really doesnt have much trouble selling products. They've been around such a long time it would be hard to care about that jackass junk of a company
