That was the 1st thing I did when I bought my smoked from BOI! It was Clear TRV Silicone Adhesive Sealant. I just knew what I wanted, so I asked the part's store guys what I needed! It worked like a charm, too!! I think it was like $5-7 for the 3 oz tube. Best $ I spent! Sure, I try not to drive my car in rain! I have washed it a lot though!

I would not take them apart. You just run the sealant over the existing seal to reinforce it. Make sure you have a good seal and gasket where the bulb locks in. If, down the road, you have problems with condensation you could try splitting the shell and resealing everything. I would just try them like they are new before takingthe chance of messing them up.

Well I'm about to seal my headlights so I figured I'd bump this thread instead of making a new one...

What is the best stuff to use to seal the lights, just regular silicone or adhesive sealant?

I was going to guess the 1st on, then I saw I used the sealant. Shows what I know! I just know that sealant still has mine looking brand new! I say use the sealant stuff, I guess.

i used adhesive glass sealant. it says you can use it on plastic too, so i gave it a shot. Found it much easier than silicone because its more like a liquid and it flows into the seams better.
