Has anyone fit a shaker hood scoop to a 94-95 GT? My car continues to grow toward a Mach 1 theme, so a natural step is to get a shaker. I was looking at the New Edge Mach's and their shaker is just a tube that brings cold air to be dumped on top of the filter rather than the old way, so I figured this couldn't really be that hard to fab some brackets to fit it atop our intakes.

quite a few years back, there was an article towards the end of a 5.0 magazine, they had a little side article on a kit that was a shaker for a 5.0 with stock intake manifold. i had looked into it quite a bit 2 years ago because i really wanted it for my 94, as mine is also taking the mach theme..but could not come up with anything anywhere. closest i could find was cdc sold a kit for the 96-98..but for 800 dollars. but that kit would at least fit the contour of the hood if you wanted to get creative and fab up some brackets to mount it. good luck

I will try and find the link to a company that makes custom shaker hoods, but they are pricey somewhere in the neighborhood of $1700 to $1800 and that is why I passed on it

Interesting. Let me know if you find that site again. I'm kind of interested in finding a very low raise 2-bump Cobra R hood and cutting a hole for the shaker. I think that would look the closest to the 03-04 Machs, without a huge price tag. I was really curious to the "has it ever been done" factor.

The link would still be awesome to see how they did it.

I wanted one as soon as I bought my 5.0! I asked Classic Design Concepts because I saw on HP TV they put one on their 96 GT. They said that the intakes did not work, or something?
Here is that mag article, probably.

Here's the company's site that makes that one:

I was seriously considering on buying that one! It would take up a long time to save that much. I changed my mind on that one. I love them though!!

I looked back on my old e-mails and found this:
It was from the owner of the place, too.  April 29th of '08.

it work with your car it is not
just a bolt on kit you will need a body shop or tuner shop to assist
you in the install. I will also need many measurements and photos and
info to make it work the last kit i built and sold was almost $2200

Thank you,

Here's from another one:
Wish i could be of more help but and i wish it was cheaper but it is a
very very expensive amount of parts to make it work right!
