Umm, NO! Those things don't even look like a muscle car to me. Maybe for a 67 or 68 fastback. Your car looks way better.

it depends if you are looking for a project car or not. you will have to put a few grand into paint, and another few grand in fixing up little things here and there...

if you are looking for a second vehicle to restore and drive on the weekends and cruise, then trade...but if your 98 is your daily, i would keep it.

you have to think what you really want to have for the future.. I mean having sweet restored 64 pony is a different kind of story/thing than driving a nice daily sn95.. I really like your car but its really up tp you - a nice and clean 64 is much mooooore than the clean sn95 for my thoughts.. but you have to look for another daily car if you get the 64

ok im keeping my sn for good.
i just realiezed that this 64 will take a long time restoring it and must have lots of rust that arent visible in pics.i know i have the patience to build it, but i just stare at my car and cant picture it not being here no more :crying:. i know my car inside and outside better than my wife :hammer:, and im building it my way and as in looks of the car i think im done, just several small things still need to get done but its getting there, i can proudly say its 50% done. and if go with the 64 im starting at 0 again, so im keeping my stang

:TY: for you comments

I was thinking you should, until I saw the pics of it! It needs to be in a lot better shape, trade! That car sounds sweet on paper, though! Tell him once he fixes it up some more, maybe. Stick with your 98. \

Although, I am best friends with about the best car painter I have ever seen. I just might swap. You don't come across a 64 1/2 that often. At least I don't! How much it that motor/trans worth?

Just my thinking though!!

1st off, I will never sell my car!! I have kind of lived through A LOT os sh*t in order to get it.

Therefore, I am not the right guy to talk about your scenario!! Saying that, that 64 1/2 is not bad though! Just needs a trip to the body shop, right? You typed it has a new interior, even. It might not be the dumbest thing to trade for! People can find 98's a lot easier than they can find good 64 1/2's. Just something to think about!

There is not a big enough # to make me sell my car, really! If you are already wanting to sell yours, that's different!

that car is not that nice or fast. its a cheapo drag car. a cheap 351 with a vac. holley cheap ass fuel system and ignition. he could get maybe 2500 for it. old cars are only worth if stock or done nice. keep ur car and look for unmolested 64/65.

coming from someone who owns both a first and fourth gen its not worth it at all.

btw there is no such thing as a 64 1/2 mustang, they are all 65s.

however their were mustangs built in 64, but all were titled as 65s, mustang monthly wrote an article on it, and due to personal experience, my brother has a socalled "64 1/2" mustang, but its not, its a 65 just like mine, if you find the article it will show you the differences between the 65, and the "64 1/2" mostly verry minor trim options.

as for my brothers stang, its murdred out so it doesnt realy even matter lol, and seems so with this one.
