I need to get a new head unit for my car but I do not know which way to go. I used to go with pioneer units but that was 10-15 years ago.

I’m looking for something reasonable priced that has Bluetooth but most importantly has subwoofer control at the radio. I like to be able to turn the sub on and off at the radio.

What setups are you guys running or recommending these days?

Stick with pioneer. Still reliable and most have option to control the sub at the deck. Plenty of features and reasonably priced.

That’s what I was thinking but of course nothing on line talks about subwoofer control.

While this is true, some may have the option buried a couple of levels deep in the menu(s). I'd suggest downloading the user manuals of the ones you're most interested in, and checking out the features, etc.

I just bought an Alpine unit less than a month ago, but now I’m switching to a double din. The Alpine has all the features you mentioned you want. Let me know if you’re interested.
