Thank you. Lots of updates come soon. Just need to find time to get the work done!

The idle hangs around 2k until I come to a complete stop. I replaced the IAC with OE part & adjusted the TB screw. The idle improved, however, it's still hanging.

I made an appointment to get it on the rollers this week and give the tuner a crack at it. :fingerscrossed:

Search for the "IAC restrictor mod" thread on here, that'll cure your hanging idle

The idle is much better after the tuner made some changes. It's not perfect but the drivability is significantly better.

I'm going to drop the car off next week so he has more time to dial it in.

The bumper & mirrors are painted. The color is slightly darker though. I'll update the thread with pics this weekend.

After this weekend I'm not going to have much spare time so the updates will slow down temporarily.

Didn't do any work on the car this weekend, however, I worked on something car related.

This is how my garage looked a few weeks ago

To make room I bought some casters & a toolbox.

Some storage racks & bins

This weekend I installed some cabinets & with a workbench sub top. Think I'm going to cover the top with 1/4 or 3/8 steel.

The casework was being thrown away as part of a building restoration. Not bad for $100 in screws and plywood!

Now I have some room to work

I'm having second thoughts on the Mystic. Contemplating finishing the prep, spraying it with primer & selling it. I have OE specified BASF paint that I'll include with the car.

Also need to sell an engine I bought for the heads. It's a Windsor with a spun bearing. I was going to rebuild it for the Roush which has been sold. Also have some Boss connecting rods & 04 Cobra Pistons that i no longer need.

The storage bins have a bunch of parts I don't need either. It's about time for a fire sale to free up space.

Good work on the garage. I made a similar score years ago when neighbors were remodeling, took all of their cabinets.

I would be sad to see the mystic go, just saying :)

I love having packages waiting at my door. I'm like a stalker running the tracking numbers!

Couple more pieces to the puzzle came today.

Just got the car back from the tuner. There appears to be a fuel pump issue. The fuel pressure is fluctuating between 25-40 PSI.

AFR is ok but I'm afraid to spray on it, so I'm going to bump the fuel system to the top of the list.

Here's the plan:
Fore Innovation dual pump hat
03/04 Cobra tank
Walbro 465 pumps
Aeromotive FPR
Professional Products rails

Need to figure out the wiring. Thinking Fore controller with 2 relays. Can the stock FPDM activate the relays without modification?

Started procuring the fuel system. Got an 04 Cobra tank, walbro 450 E85 pumps, fuel rails, pump hat, controller, FPR, & 80lb injectors (future use)

The Fore FC2 controller should be delivered next week. Need to order -8 & -10 fuel lines & a filter then I should be good to go.

Issue: the pump diameter is too large for the hat housing. Need to figure out how to make them work together.

The fuel pump wiring requires a power feed from the battery. Since the battery is still in the stock location the wiring will need to be ran through the cabin. While I wait on parts and figure out the fuel system, I'm going to gut the interior of the gray and replace it with an 04 Mach 1 interior.

The Mach interior pieces are dark gray so I'm going to color change them to black except for the seats.

I don't have the dash so I'm going to pull mine & paint it black.

Bought some Color Bond LVP Refinisher in Ford Black and tested it out on the bottom portion of the old seat

Spoke to Fore Innovations regarding the issue. They offer an exchange program, however, to qualify I would have to buy the pumps from them. I explained to the I already have the pumps, but they stated the only way to qualify for the program is to purchase the pumps from them ($70 more than I paid elsewhere).

They said the main issue with the older style module is the pumps sit too low & the tank would need to be modified.

Their exchange program requirements rubbed me the wrong way, so I'm going to research my options before I make a decision on how to proceed.

It's been a busy summer, but finally got some time to get the interior done. The Color Bond didn't work well for me. I had to remove it all and start over... what a pain!
It was scathing by running fingernails over it.

Second time I used DuPont interior paint with adhesion promoter and was really happy with the results. The Mach 1 seats took some wiring but well worth it. They're much more comfortable than the original GT seats.
