Well define sluggish. Is the throttle response time slow? or does it just not put down the power you're expecting it to?

well ive had this problem before and all it need was a cleaning of the maf and when i drove it after the car had a big difference in power and then installing the CAI i figured a noticeable increase in power and its opposite i feel its not producing what it had when i first cleaned the maf. Throttle response does feel somewhat slow especially in 1st and 2nd but 3rd on its not that bad

You might try rotating the MAF housing so the air hits it a different angle.
try putting the origional filter and tubing back in abd see if the problem is the same. You might have a leak in the CAI connections.

Might just be the car. These things only came with 215 hp stock, which is around 175-190rwhp auto/stick. Put some 3.73s in, it'll be a lot quicker.

HAHAH i know the car is "slow" but when i cleaned the maf with the original air box i felt the power after, but then with the new cai its not producing what it was before. Im going to try and reangle the maf and there might be a vacuum leak behind the top manifold! Ill keep u guys posted

If you check for leaks in the CAI and the vacuum lines and all the electronics are hooked up properly it could be that the CAI air filter was saturated with too much oil and it is not allowing the engine to take in more air like it's designed to do. I made the mistake of having my sister help me when I was doing a tune up on my dads car, she put half a can of K&N air filter oil on his CAI without me knowing and when I started the car up it sounded and ran terrible. Engine started sucking in some of the oil and everything. Re-cleaned it myself, and put a light coating of oil back on it and it ran fine after that.

And, if you do the same absolutely clean the MAF again. That excess oil will foul the MAF sensor.
