broke today. My stock rear end with over 140,000 miles finally threw in the towel when i launched on the first pass tonight. And i didn't even get to test out the bigger shot. :rant2:

But, i took the rear apart when i got home, and all it did was snap an axle. :coolsmiley: :boink:

good thing is I have a couple 7.5" rear ends at my disposal and i was assured they are the same size as mine.

Get a 31 spline T-lok from an 05 and up car, buy some Moser axles and be done... Oh and replace all the bearings and external bushings. For a few hundred bucks the car will be better than stock and ride like a caddy.

the axles are teh same size, the housings are different...


and i don't have the $1000 it would cost for me to go to a spool, 33 splines, diff cover, c-clip elims, studs, etc...so replacing the axle will have to do for now. Provided i get the part of the axle that is stuck in the housing out. :rant2:

my car hasn't had ABS for like 6 months..the rings are the last thing left of it and they will probably be gone when i put the rear back together. weight reduction. :hammer:
