Some questions

So today I've had a lot of time to think, and when that happens I usually think about my car, ha. I have a pretty much stock 01 gt 4.6. #1 My fifth gear sucks, is there anything i can do to get more out of fifth gear? It accelerates so slow. #2 I commute about 45 minutes to work everday..and some of the roads i travel on are really bumpy, and the overpasses i drive over aren't even. whats the best/strongest kind of shock i can get to withstand the daily torture of commuting to work? There were a few more..but ive forgotten after being dragged around the mall by my wife lol, so ill post some more later. Thanks for the help guys

#1 ...5th gear is over drive, which means the engine spins slower then the driveshaft ...its for fuel economy and efficiency.
#2 you can get a hd shock from your local parts jobber. I have stock Struts for my 96 which are still good you can have if you think yours are getting weak. As long as you stay away from a lowering spring and performance handling strut/shock. you should be OK.
