As you all know I have 99 cobra wheels on my 95 gt. I am looking to bring the rears out to flush with the quarter panel. The wheels have an offset of 30. Im going to measure the distance needed for the wheel to become flush and that should give me the spacer size correct?

BTW I am going to extend the lugs and not use the ones with the extra lugs in them. As well as i am going to find some that are hubcentric since I do not want any slop or movement.

Rule of thumb is that a 1.25 inch bolt on spacer usually makes 8 inch wheel flush in the back of the mustang. If you want to get all educated about it, get a string and a lead weight or something heavy, and attach it to fender lip. Measure from where the string is to the rotor hub. That's your distance of half wheel plus offset. Figure it's an 8 inch wheel, so 4 of it is on one side. Subtract 4 inches from the distance you've measured, and you have the distance that you have to make up with offset and spacer. Subtract offset from that distance and you will have the rough size of the spacer needed. Pick the spacer roughly the size you are looking for, and don't forget that the tire will probably be slightly wider than the actual wheel, so that's something you might want to keep in mind.

I put on 1.25 inch hubcentrics with the studs built in. I'm confident in their construction, plus I'm not easy on the suspension of my car and they've held up fine with no signs of wear.

Good luck finding a 1" or larger spacer that doesnt have the lugs on it. Why would you anyway? Do you really want to use 5-6" long studs?

^^^ what he said. Plus all the stress that would be on studs bet they would break. I dont run anything ove 5/16. With no studs on it!
