I am assuming they are aluminum heads....son's car. coming home this next week and want to tune it up.

ya know I didn't notice this was in the v6 section till after I asked. I do not know what the stock v6 heads are made of for sure but I was assuming they were not aluminum. Aluminum heads are normally an upgrade and it can change the torq specs on the spark plugs.

thanks, yea, that is why I was asking since on line I have seen two different specs for the car. so anybody?

My haynes manual says 7-14 ft lbs but thats a pretty big gap.

And yes the 3.8/3.9 has aluminum heads stock. If Im not mistaken theyve always had aluminum heads.

Thanks!!! pretty much the same as the 4.6 then. one of the ones I had read I think said 5-14. even a bigger gap. one said 25 which to me was high for aluminum heads.

Same but it depends how many threads they have too. Id set it at about 13 ft lbs and retorque them after a few heat cycles.

just had someone on a different site indicate that AllData lists it as 11 ft lbs.
