Having a crazy problem lately that i thought i solved a while back.

my car likes to pop the #4, #6, and #2 plug boots off the wire, sometimes ill go to use wot or just a harder rate of acceleration and ill have a misfire..

but all i have to do is open the hood and "snap" the boots back down on the plug and im good to go again, i can almost do it in seconds now as im so used to it.

so i guess what im asking is if their is a better set of wires out there in the world that will actually "hang on" i used 1997 oem motorcraft wires. and stock coils. ngk tr55 plugs factory gap

Never heard of wires just coming off before

When the wires are on do they hold tightly? Also is there slack in the wires to allow for engine movement?

you suggest a different plug?
id guess it has something to do with the plugs more then the wires.

i had a similar problem a while back infact the first time it took me quite a while to figure out why it was happening.
then i pulled it off of the coilpack, and it seems like the metal piece in there was bent outta shape. i straightened it out and snapped it back down, hasnt come up since. but thats not exactly your problem. yours is separating the wire from the boot? dunno :dontknow:
