When I bought my car it had a spec stage 2 clutch in it that was practically new. I broke it in and it was slipping after 3 months. I bought the car last april, it's not even a year later and my clutch slips a lot. So I did some research, not only am I having problems but it seems as though other people are too.

Take a look at the link below.

I always used a Centerforce Dual Friction. I used to beat the ever living fvck out of it and it took it...never had one problem.

I have a stage 2, or stage 2+. It has been abused thoroughly time and time again, but it keeps coming back for more. The first spec I bought though was trash in about 3500 miles. The disc had no friction pads left on it. Supposedly there was a bad run of friction material around that time though. I actually sold the pressure plate to a friend, and he is running low 12's with that exact same pressure plate and a stock replacement valeo disc.

But as far as the spec thats in the car now, I like it alot.

Had a stage 3 in my z28 (lt1 6 speed car). It had a LE2 kit on it, and the clutch sucked. I put in a zoom puck clutch and aluminum flywheel, problem solved.

Seems most folks are pretty hit or miss with Spec clutches.

I've had terrible luck with Dual Friction clutches myself. I had two actually come apart on me, and one put a hole in my bellhousing.

All Clutches will chatter if not broken in correctly but it should not chatter as a characteristic of the clutch
