srt4's

Local guy with a srt4 has been real hot about racing me. Not sure what all is going on with his other then it's not heavily modded, he still needs a tune to get passed stock boost. I have my FLSFC's, 3.73s, suspension, LT's, exhaust, etc. No motor mods other then it being well maintained and strong. I'm not up to date on these cars. Any help would be appreciated.

yea rolls are where the skittles are best .. Im not going to lie .. I like how they look and wish I had one for a daylie .. Here in houston we have the fastes skittle in texas .. "true story" , he runs high to mid 10s at the track at HRP ... this guy is a beast, his name is BLUEFLAME .. thank god he is with us hahahah ..

No doubt i wouldn't race from a dig, unless i was packing a turbo or a solid roller cam i really wouldn't try it. He works at advanced, and is a friend of mine, last thing I want to do is loose lol

they're 12 second cars without even going into the engine..... for about $5-6k you can easily get one in the 12's

he doesnt have that much in it. I have TFS heads and eventually a custom cam and ported intake etc all to go together as matched.

if you have heads you will beet him from a dig and a roll if hes close to stock.

They are quick..my father has a Turbo Intercooled PT Cruiser - it comes with the same engine as the SRT4..

I am inpressed with what it does..def not as fast as a decent mustang but it is quick that's for sure..

those cars arent to fast stock or with little mods, guy i talked to said he has a stage 2 kit and tune (i dont really know what that all involves) but he runs low 13's, i dont know if thats good or not for whatever a stage 2 kit is, but its still a little neon that runs low 13's

Yea, It's a "skittle" on the outside, but it's got a lot more heart than a Neon. They didn't even bother with the Neon emblems.

I believe stock they are rigght around the same HP as a 50. But they are lighter. If you have heads, you should be able to take them.

I think you are going to be surprised by the srt. First off, no tune is needed to pass by stock boost levels. It can be achieved with a simple 1$ spring from Home depot. Bam! from 11psi to 16-18. Lots of free mods on srts makes them a fun toy. I wouldnt get too cocky on this one....

Talked to a guy here locally that has a srt4, best he was getting was mid/low 14's and that was on 14/15psi. Go race, it should be interesting.

he needs to learn to drive. I ran 13.9 bone stock in 04 in my old srt4. Not swinging from the srt nut, im just sayin.

You could pull on him with the 373s if you hook up decent. If his car is pretty well stock I can see you hanging with him until you get to high speeds. I raced one in my BONE stock 89 SHO. I was beating him by atleast a full car up till around 60-70ish then he raped the shit outta me. He was still pretty shocked that my pos taurus kept up with him for so long. His car was modded it atleast had a full exhaust.
