i have a few questions, the car is a 94 mustang gt hci dyno tuned.
1. since I've owned the car, it has had hot start problems and lately its been dieing on cold starts. the tune didn't help at all with this issue. lets say i drive to the store, about 10 miles at 65mph temp gauge reads 165, i go in store and when i am trying to leave it will start and rev to about 1500 rpm and then die, temp gauge now reads 180-190. Sometimes it will even idle for a couple of seconds and then die, and then every once in awhile it will die when i push in the clutch to stop at a stop sign.
i also have a air bag light in the dash code 12.
At idle the needle on the volt gauge moves up and down with nothing on.
has new cap and rotor, new fuel pump, new Taylor custom length spark plug wires, new plugs, new coil. red top optima battery.
new abaco mass air, new mishimoto radiator, new coolant temp sensor
i have had the battery and the alternator tested both passed. alternator gets very hot really quick.
mod list:
140,000 short block
trick flow twisted wedge alum heads 185 cnc 70mm throttle body it has a crankshaft under drive pulley only.
trick flow track heat upper lower intake 190 tstat
comp cam max energy cam 1.7 roller rockers
7 quart dss duel sump oil pan abaco 97mm mass 24lb injectors
1in trickflow intake spacer shorty headers
professional products adj fuel regulator new water pump
373 gears new hydraulic lifters
2. it dyno-ed at 260hp and 280tq on a mustang dyno good numbers?
3. my injectors are making a very loud ticking noise. i have used a stethoscope and they all seem to be making a noise some louder than others. i don't think it is the lifters because when i put my stethoscope on the valve covers i don't hear any ticking noise at all
4. last one, i have a pa performance alternator wire kit. what is the proper way to wire it, only wires connected are the two plugs and the one 4ga wire and fuse running to the battery. this was on the car when i bought it and never knew if it was wired correct.
any input on any of these questions would be helpful. iv done tons of searching with no luck.
thanks
if you want to see a video you can search jcgcrawler on youtube and see a video i took keep in mind that on the second start im am reving the car up and then it will level out and then dies.
