Steering Shaft

Ok So quick question, I need to disconnect my steering shaft and I only see one bolt on it. So i unbolt that and slide the shaft up however it doesn't seem to clear the knuckle it attaches to on the rack. Am I doing something wrong here should it slide up more than it does? it goes about an inch then seems like its hitting an imaginary stop.

it slides up more. have someone jiggle the wheel while you do it.

yea I got it ry, There was just some solidified grease in there blocking it up
