Steering wheel questions

So my stock steering wheel is starting to show its age (11years old) and i think i'm going to upgrade to either a full racing wheel or a FR500 steering wheel. Has anyone had any experiance with the FR500 wheel? Is it smaller all around or just thicker. Is the FR500 wheel any different then the wheel that comes on the Cobras from the factory(03-04)?

The only reason i'd rather go with the FR500 over a full racing wheel is being able to pass inspection without having to constently change, and I have the cruise control buttons on the OEM steering wheel which I can change over to the FR500 but obviously not the full racing wheel.

Any thoughts?

its not smaller diameter, just a thicker rim with perforated leather.

Lol no weight saving, just kind wanted something a little smaller in diameter.

Anyone have any pics of their FR500 wheels in there cars. Preferably with the saddle/black interior.

I've seen them around on different sites, looks like there going for any where from 155$ to 170$ depending on the site.

50resto sells the fr500 steering wheel. i always wondered what my saddle tan/black interior would look like with the fr500
steering wheel. i dont think it looks that bad, i wish they made one in tan though. :dunno:

My FR500 steering wheel is probably the best dollar-for-dollar modification on ANY of my cars. I absolutely love it.

I have the FR500 and love it! Very comfortable and looks great. I even like how it extends the 2 tone look of the interior Black/Tan.
