Does anyone know a good place to get a new steering wheel? I like have cruise control and an airbag, so that is the only thing making me lean away from a MOMO steering wheel we carry here at AM.

I currently have a MINT FR500 wheel and am thinking of letting it go...

Just trying to think of any place that might allow me to keep my stock CC and airbag with a new wheel..

anyone?

and just throwing the idea around..

as long as the spline in the hub are the same any wheel would work. say for instance i know that the wheel from a 2013 escape fits directly onto our column. same spline. its just VERY expensive. am i helping you at all lil buddy? no? lol

they make an aftermarket wheel that looks like the s197 wheels.

that steering wheel is fugly.. I hate them.. If it comes down to it ill get one of the MOMO ones as they are badass..

as long as the passenger can still be fine as if we get into an accident they will be all that matters.. my face will be protected by my steering wheel lol.. Although i dont want to mess the pretty face up

CC thanks for the um help... But again. I already have a MINT FR500 wheel.. Ya know.. the one that I can sell for $400..... I just am not sure i want it

and yes Tony. I would like a different wheel in which I can keep the CC and and airbag. But if it comes down to it. I will take them off.. The momo wheel was too nice to care about that nonsense

just get it re-wrapped. Change up the materials enough and trust me if feels like an entirely different wheel.

Sell the fr500 for a profit. Then buy a crappy beat up steering wheel and have it re-wrapped by redline goods.

I'm planning on getting an NRG quick release wheel, but I doubt you'll like that one since it gets rid of the airbag.

You didn't say you didn't have the origional anymore. I figured you just wanted something even more different than the GT500. Get the old one from Scott or pick one from the salvage yard and have the stocker custom wrapped from redline. Sell the GT500 and pocket the extra money.

I would think you could have extra padding added in key places. or finger grips cut in the padding too. Not to mention different materials and colors

Just the FR to me is big and I dunno. I could put that money elsewhere into my car. After seeing a momo one my buddy got for his miata that would fit my car. It was like o_O ... why dont i have that.. lol

The only thing I have never liked about aftermarket wheels in our cars is the difference between the steering columns thickness and the wheels center hub. Always left such a gap that needed to be taken care of too look good imo. The Miata's have a thinner column don't they I mean everything in that car is tiny...
