A new BMW 335 initated a street dual with my 94 Cobra this afternoon. My 181K Cobra was no match for a crisp 300HP from Germany. :nonono: The BMW is rated 300ft/lbs at a low 1400RPM. WOW!

Im assuming it was the turbo model??

If getting waxed by that car isnt motivation to get some mods going on your 94 Cobra, then I dunno what is?

I went to the track last night for the first time in the Cobra and the for first time in about 4 years. Aparently, I can't drive. My best of 10 runs was a 14.44ET. A experimented with launch and shift point. All 10 runs fell between 14.7 and 14.4ET. My car a Mac longtube exhaust and a 3.73. I was expecting tp be faster. :dunno:

I'm pretty sure the missing speed is in the gear changes. I don't even squeek the tires in second gear loud enough to hear 'em. I bet someone willing to risk the syncros could get that 14.1ET. Before I went, I was hoping for 14.2s or better.

i failed to mention before i have a tremec 3550 in my car. stock was blown when i bought car, my mechanic had the 3550, badabing! but it never got second.. even after the gear change.. until i freshened up my top end.. new pushrods, lifters, springs, valves, cam, whole 9 yards.. sprung a leak while my dad was using it [i had his truck workin outta town] he changed the thermostat [forgot to change gasket] ran it with no water and blew head gasket f*kd it all up for me.. but yeah, back on topic.. rebuild your top end and it'll work wonders for you

I raced a previous generation M3 a few weeks ago. From a roll we were real close, from a dig I handed him his a$$ so I was happy. Up here at elevation alot of so-called fast cars just don't run that well. My buddy has yet to get beat by a Z06 with his Terminator, in fact we haven't seen a Z06 break into the 12's at the strip yet.

those new 335s are good for low 13s bone stock...you really arent gonna beating too many of them without some serious mods

The new m3s are fast cars....supposed to be around 13.0 give or take

My mom's X3 was getting a tune up so the dealer let her have a rental car. It was a 08 335 hardtop convert. Thing seemed pretty quick. Didnt get a chance to see how it would hold up against the stang though
