any one have any idea why i have 2 crank pullies stacked...like i have a big one that looks stock and then behind it is a smaller one and thats the one being used? ill post some pics in a little

Looks like maybe a blower pulley? Has the car ever had a blower on it?

If not that, than i would have no idea why you would have two crank pulleys stacked like that

not that i know of...im going to call the previous owner on that one...would this cause my revs to slowly drop...cuz when i rev it it takes a little while for the revs to drop..it like holds the rev

thats exactly how mine is homes, its how it came from ford....

im betting its a harmonic balancer... its also how the pulley looked on my 2v V10...

yea... my 4.6 hums like a tiger... :) well, it did before i ripped it apart... ill let you know once i get new plugs in and the front end back together... LOL!

I hate to say it but my 96 doesnt have that and it is 100% stock, here's a pic of my pulleys

np... i can go grab pics of mine if you want... no biggy.... and thats exactly what my V10 has, which i assure you that my V10 didnt have a blower. lol... and the V10 is a 4.6 with an extra 2 cylideners on the back end. lol.

my car did have underdrive pullies... but my triton has the same pully >.< lol!

I know when I was looking at underdrives for my 00 GT they were all the sandwich style like that

I do know my car is 100% stock right down to the paper air filter, that was one reason I bought it. Adult female owned and dealer serviced it's whole life. Perfect starting point.

yea mine has underdrive pullies and im wondering if the big one is the stock one and the small on is the aftermarket one.....but the question is why wasnt the stock one taken off

yeah that is the piggy back style underdrive pulley, one company that offers them is bbk. I had that on my mustang for a while and then took them off when I did my head swap, I thought it was kind of cheesy and didn't really notice a difference

could be mine used to hold revs but now it only does it when the engine is cold and runs a little high but when warmed up it revs down just fine

its a modular 2v. they all rev and drop slow. hell, even my 4v does it. they just arent real snappy like teh treeohtoos.
