well i have a memphis class d mono block amp. i'll list the rms ratings

4ohm 300w
2ohm 600w
1ohm 1100w

i was looking to get a couple of Kicker L5's or L7's. i was leaning toward the pair of L5's with duel 2ohm voice coils. my question is could i run each subs coils in series(to get 4ohm per sub) and then run the pair of subs in parallel(to get 2ohms of total resistance)? the L5's are rated at 600w rms or 300w per coil. would this work correctly? i really dont want to blow up over 300bucks in speakers. suggestions :dunno:

Yes, 4 - 2ohm drivers wired in series/parallel nets a 2ohm total load.

I did the same thing with a pair of PG 4ohm DVC subs that I had in my truck, and it worked like a charm (the amp saw a bridged 4ohm load).
