So all I have now are upper/lower ca's which I will be replacing with Grenatellis and an Eibach Pro Kit. I am getting a strut tower brace soon. But what if I were to run front/rear sways, subframe connecters, the strut tower brace, and a bump steer kit. Would my car feel like it is on rails or what? If anyone is running a majority of these things, please let me know how the ride is now compared to stock, and if it was worth the money and time!

Sure, I've gone the rounds with mustang suspension,
your springs will make the difference on ride feel.
lower ride does feel more solid.
Your stock swaybars will be fine for normal driving.
Definately do subs, it will make the car ride better. less chassis flex, suspension bind etc.

bumpsteer is good if your going 2" or more on the drop.
I'd suggest going with different LCA's...

You doing the swap yourself?

Granatelli is crap. A good set of springs and shocks will make all the difference in the world.
Don't waste your money on a strut tower brace or sway bars, spend it on quality full-length subframe connectors, such as Maximum Motorsports.

Ford gave me a strut tower brace from the factory, it's noticeable when it's off. AS for Grannetelli being crap everyone loves to say that, but I've had their control arms on my ride for nearly two years now, with 30k and two trips acrossed the country and not one single issue so far.

A control arm, strut tower brace, subframes, springs and shocks will be the most dramatic improvement you make on your ride, unless you have a twin turbo 32v 5.4 somewhere :eek:uttahere: .

Well yeah cuz my brother has Granatelli upper and lower and he loves them. Yes, me and him will change out my crappy old ojnes ourselfs. Right now I am running Tokico blue gas shocks/struts, so I think I am good on that level. My springs are nice but not low enough, but I really want to corner well so front/rear sways and sub frames is what I am after. Also, why only get a bumpsteer kit for a 2" or lower drop. I have heard that those are crucial to your car not hitting bumps and pulling hard and stuff like that.

If you want your car to ride like it's on rails, and are willing to pay for it. Dalmar has a thread posted on here somewhere when he did his 'Stang, which is pretty much what I have accept the coil overs. He has pictures of the entire project, and it's a good thread to check out on how to set up you suspension. Plus I agree, MM is the way to go :thumb:

I second the quality and "tested" performance of Maximum Motorsports.
It depends on what you want to do with the car...

Your car looks sweet BTW!
do you have more pix of it??

yea very nice, if i was you i wouldn't go with the upper control arms. I would stay with a stock type. The aftermarket ones bind really bad and are best used for strait line passes. I think Dal can atest to that. Anyway, One question fellas where can i get a strut tower brace to fit my car??? i got a 98 and i bought a bar off a 97 and i had to place to hook it in the back. the towers were fine but no thing to mount on the back ...

You need to get one for a '98-'04 according to the MM web site. Check out their install section, that might help, but I :dunno:

Void, what does the offset steering bushing do for you? Also, I have a shiet ton of weird squeeks all over in my car. Wold a poly bushing kit like yours help and of that? WHat exactly did you see as far as results go on that kit? How much was it and did you install it yourself? What does it cover exactly?

Well, the offset bushings help kinda like a bumpsteer kit but without the kit :) it moves the rack up a little. I got the poly kit from cjponyparts and it cost i think 160. I haven't gotten it installed yet but i've heard that the poly don't squeak as bad and it tightens up the ride alot. Plus the poly bushing don't wear out hardly. I'm going to be installing it myself but i think its a difficult job if you don't have a place to lift the car and take the stuff apart and a press or something to push the bushings in. Some one else could problaly say something else about it though.
