Ok, so I finished the NIP intake swap..

however my Themostat housing is not seal and doesn't line up properly.. it leaks all over..

what am I doing wrong, do I need a new one, different gasket? Where do I get one? Not seeing any on ebay.. nor summit racing.

The Tstat housings are different between the PI intake and non-PI. You need to pick up the correct one. The o-ring goes on top of the Tstat. Now I have seen some just RTV the daylights out of the housing, not recommended.

Where did the intake come from? Is it a Ford piece? I didn't ever swap my T-stat housing, I may have been lucky or something though...

Yea they arent different pieces, but mine leaks slightly. Ive been to lazy to pull it off and fix it, being that the whole top end is coming off next month anyway!

ok, you swapped the NPI intake for another NPI one? if you did and you went from the full plastic to the aluminum crossover, the t-stat housing is different. you need to get the revised one.

if you went from plastic NPI to aluminum PI, then the same thing applies.

if you went from aluminum NPI to aluminum PI, then you shouldnt be having a problem, the t-stat housings are the same.

if you went from a ford manifold to a dorman manifold, the housings should be different, but i dunno. i know there is some kind of adapter thingy that the dorman one uses, but ive never worked on one before.

Its a Ford part...

there is no revised thermostat housing per two ford dealerships...

Does the red-rubber-ring (gasket) just sit on top of the thermostat then and is pressed down onto via the housing? As apposed to sitting on the plastic of the old intake?
