hey guys whats up, i know i haven't posted on here in a while and i figured now is the right time haha. Everytime i shift into first gear my shifter shakes and you can hear it and feel it grind for a second but once im driving down the road its fine. And it doesn't shake or grind shifting into any other gears. I was told this was my first gear synchronizer so i called up the mechanic that lives right down my road that has done some work on my car before and he said he estimates it would be around 400 to pull the tranny and put a new synchronizer in and i really didnt think it would cost that much to fix. does that sound about right? im just bummed because im going to florida next week and was going to leave it with him to fix it when im gone but now i dont know if i want to spend that much money. is it bad to drive around with it like that?
