Hi all.

I have a 99 T-45 Transmission. Well my TOB blew up and scored the sleeve pretty good. I ordered the sleeve with the ford part # F6ZZ-7050-C and now people are telling me this is only changable in the 96-98 T-45 and that the only fix for mine is to replace the whole bell housing! Is this true, or is there a way to press the sleeve out and replace it ?

All help very much appreciated.

Just tap it out with a hammer and piece of wood. Do the same with the new one, but in reverse of course. You do have to drop the trans though.

I had my TOB sleeve snap inside my trans. I ordered the part from ford, removed the bellhousing from the trans, and had the new bearing pressed in.

All T-45's are the same except for the speedo sensor in the newer ones right? Yes its a press fit but u can tap that sucker in. Just unbolt the housing from the trans and either do my method or take it to a shop with a press and 10 bux.
