T-5 not shifting into second gear

Trying to diagnose a problem here and see what it would cost me to fix. I have a T-5 in my car, stock clutch, Steeda shifter. Trans was rebuilt in 2005 and has probably less than 20k miles on it since then. Over the last couple years (haven't been driving the car much) 2nd gear has become pretty much unusable. You really have to play with it and time it right to get the trans to shift into 2nd, so I'm thinking it might be a synchro, but wanted to ask first. Everything else appears to be fine besides that.

I would think syncro too. I'd start with changine the fluid first.

I changed the fluid in it after this had started and it made no difference.

How much would I be looking at to have a synchro fixed?

I'm sure it would require a complete tear down. Call your local tranny shop
