So, I've asked before but didnt get too many responses..

How can I mount a tach in a 89 LX foxbody mustang? I dont see any tach brackets out there, I've been told I need to drill into the dash, which I dont wanna do...I have some sticky velcro I guess I could try..Any ideas?

Thanks

You haven't seen any tach brackets?

Are you not looking? There are quite a few gauge setups for Foxs.

Not to be rude..but instead of just telling me I'm not looking (which I have been otherwise I wouldnt be asking for help..) why not provide some links as examples?

I checked CJ pony parts and American Muscle, and am not finding any tach mounting brackets for an 89 Mustang. Just for the 94-2004 models.

Also, now I kind of need it by Friday, so perhaps I may try some really strong double sided tape. I know it probably wont last but its worth a shot.

there is nothing that i know of sold that will not require drilling or screwing into the dash. you could mount it outside on the cowl vent but then someone might steal it.

this is a common pod for the large tachs

imo its not needed. my stock tach is dead on with my aftermarket computer dashboard. plus the 5" monster tach is kinda tacky (no pun intended) :)

velcro... I hate drilling holes as well. Velcro has been my friend for many many things!

Thats the pod I was remembering seeing. I've seen lots of em bolted to the shelf in the dash. As long as its not the 4-eyed dash.
