Taillight Tint

Well i decided I would tint my taillights! I stil need to do my side reflectors, but here are these. and yes I know the car is dirty!

Nice! O0 I like tinted tails. Are you going to clear them?I was gonna leave mine flat but decided to see what it would look like cleared.I'm glad I did.

i dont use VHT i have my own formula i shoot with my paint gun its a tinted clear coat. thats about 4 medium coats, they were altezzas and i didnt want anyone to know lol. only got pulled over once too lol

make sure you get brighter bulbs if you go darker. during the day with the sun shining down on them, they can be hard to see.

I honestly couldn't tell you.The kids kept bothering me and I lost count. :dunno:Their not as dark as they seem.My car was in the shade in that pic.
They look like sexynerds in the sun.My wife said they are still visable during the day so I didn't bother with new bulbs.

^^^the smartest post in the thread. If you are going to tint them, do yourself a favor and get brighter bulbs. I'd rather have "stock" looking tail lights than have someone rear end me.

What kind of clear coat do you guys use? I used some stuff i found in my garage and it didnt work very well.

I used a rattle can clear I got at Auto Zone. It was Duplicolor factory clear.Or sumthing like that.
The stuff you had,was it old or ever been frozen?

they are still plenty visable!

mine are plenty visable as well, until the sun shining down on them at 2 o'clock decides to reflect off of them and make it impssible for anyone behind me to see the brakelights..
