I'm getting ready to take off the pony grill emblem assembly and notice that it has a tamper-proof torx head. I'd like to head over to Sears to get one.
Does anyone know what size it takes?

Thanks

I actually work at sears in hardware lol

here, I found a picture I took of my car, are you talking about the two bolts above the horse right there?

if that's what you're talking about then it's not really a tamper proof kind of thing, it is a specialty tool, but most people will know what you are talking about if call it a torx bit with a hole in the middle.

No problem. I just thought you were giving me a hard time. I was going to say "the one by my house".
I got a reply on another forum: T25

unless they changed something those arent tamper proof torx. mine and my brothers were regular torx. the tamper proof ones are very similar but the torx socket is hollow

Yeah, on mine there is a little "pin" sitting right in the middle of the socket that prevents my normal set from seating :nonono:

Thanks. I think I'll pick up a small set of these just to have around for other stuff (like cleaning the maf).

My 97 has tamper proof. It is either a T-20 or T-25. I would go check but it raining like a biatch.
