Aren't the fly wheel bolt tty and should be replaced every time.. I suggested you to buy the arp ones.. And new clutch bolts.. The only way it will knock if ours loose.. Did you check your throw out bearing retainer like i told you to..are you sure you aligned the clutch properly.. Followed the right Torque sequence..

Did all that, even took the flywheel bolts and cleaned them up with a wire wheel

Shoulda used new flywheel bolts, cleaning them isn't doing any good. But I find it hard to believe they would cause a "knocking" at only 3500rpms or above. Unless they are just starting to back out, in which case I would expect it to progressively get worse and then boom, flywheel/clutch massive failure.

Is the car shifting okay? Just a loss of power feeling and a knock? I really need a vid haha.

Try popping the inspection cover and looking with a flashlight/mirror, even try to squeeze your arm up in there and shake things to see if anything is loose.

I doubt a video is really going to help.. We'll hear a noise but will be hard to pin point.. Need to get your car on a lift and see were its coming from.. Flywheel bolts are TTY(torque to yield) they stretch and can not be reuse..like head studs.. Unless you get the ARP ones you can reuse those all you want..

I've NEVER used new bolts on clutch stuff. Unless the heads were stripped. Not sure if the 4.6 are TTY or not.

My question to Jones, is did you torque the pressure plate and flywheel? And did you torque in a star pattern?

It can be defective, but I can tell you from experience that new bolts are not necessary (of course unless your old ones are not good), loctite is optional (good for safety measure), and I have been running my setup without pressure plate dowels with no ill effects for years. Sounds like your pressure plate is loose or coming apart.

Yes we torqued them in a star pattern to the correct spec.
Also before I left the house I went to listen to it once more. When you start it's quiet but if you give it throttle just enough to get to about 1500rpm it will knock. Again I am 100% certain it's not a rod knock or anything related to the motor. It's coming directly under the cabin, I even popped the good and put my ears down by the motor and the motor was sound.

What did you torque to? Should be a real low # IIRC.

My buddy mentioned it could very well be the exhaust banging up against the body underneath so tomorrow im taking it to a shop to have it looked at. I mean it just makes absolutely no sense. I've babied this car ever since we fixed it and there's not reason for it to do thag

Good to hear. I HATE "doing things nice, because I do them twice".
