Sweet! Looks like it's running pretty damn smooth!

It's seems to be so far but I haven't let it run for over a minute yet. I have to hook up my aftermarket gauges and get more coolant to burp the system this weekend and then I'm going to let it idle for a while to shake out any gremlins that might be in there

Today I checked a few more things off the list.
Installed the following:
New inner tie rods and boots
Front coil overs and cc plates
Filled the transmission with some AMSOIL synchromesh and a cobra bob shifter gasket
Tidied up some wiring inside the cabin
Installed the carpet and center console.

I ordered some 2015 rear brakes and rotors off eBay too so they will match what's on the front. One way or another I'm going to make a bracket for it. I think I'm going to try out emachineshop.com. They have free CAD software and pricing so once I have the parts to make measurements off of I can get an accurate quote but just messing around today I made this very rough version today. I may order some extras if I find there is some interest in them.

Worked out in the garage a little today. Not a whole lot of pictures to show for it but I ran all my gauge wires to their sensors. Now all that's left is to connect grounds and a switched 12v. I mounted my AEM w/b controller on the main engine harness near the firewall.

I should be able to wrap all the rest of the the gauge stuff tomorrow.

At the end of the day fed ex brought my 2015 rear brakes. Took a couple quick comparison pictures between the cobra rotor and the 15' rotors. At a quick glance they look like they're going to work with some custom brackets.

Not a whole lot recently. I had a couple days off to work on the car so I got my speed hut gauges all wired up and working. I was filling and burping the coolant system the day before I left for 10 days of leave for the holiday when I ran into a coolant leak. Coolant is running down the back of the block and dripping out between the block and bell housing. I did a lot of visual inspecting to try to find any sign of a leak on the back of the engine either at a freeze plug, the head cooling mod or heater core hoses. Didn't see anything in those areas.

I did some searching online and I've got some areas to look when I get home. I think I have a pinched o-ring on the coolant crossover. My hope is thats the case and coolant is pooling in the valley of the motor and then leaking down the back. This would be the easiest fix obviously. Otherwise the blower and lower intake manifold is coming off to find it. Its a very slow leak whatever the source because it is drops coming at a time.

Besides the bad news of the coolant leak I got hood pins and hood struts for Christmas. I got some gift cards as well so I'll be purchasing my own MIG welder from Eastwood. I borrowed a friends to do the welding on the car so far but Ive wanted my own for a while and I'll need to do some welding to finish this project so I figure why not now.

Replaced all four o-rings in the coolant crossover today. Seems to have fixed my leak. I let it run for a while in the garage. Only got a few drops at first which I assume is residual because it stopped after a couple minutes and then was dry for 10-15 minutes of idling and quick revs. Coolant temp held steady at about 165 on the aftermarket gauge. I have the 170* thermostat so I feel like that's right where it should be.

I've got plenty left to do on the car before spring but unfortunately I have to focus on studying for promotion in my free time during the next month. I'll have days here and there but this thread will probably be pretty slow until late February so sorry for that!

Almost a month and not much to report still. I went a little OCD on my tool box after christmas time when I got some new sockets and other tools. I've spent most of my free time studying for promotion testing. I get that over with on Monday thankfully. The anxiety is killing me haha.

Meanwhile the UPS man has continued to bring me presents. I got my MM steering shaft, X4 and MAF the other day. I also picked up a oem cobra bumper and foglight brackets to replace the aftermarket one I had because Ive heard a lot of horror stories about fitment. Everything is waiting to be put back together and buttoned up. The only thing I really need to purchase is front seats and to send my wife away for a weekend so I can spend like 30 hours in the garage uninterrupted! Joking aside, March 5th-ish is my goal for having it complete enough to test drive. Would be more ambitious with that estimate but Ive got a week of leave to Nashville/San Antonio between now and then. Once I get some miles on it I'd like to get it to a painter. For anyone who has had their car painted professionally, how did you go about finding someone reputable? If I was from around here it would be easier but I'm really nervous about being disappointed in the results after spending 3k or so on paint.

I included a few pictures below of how she sits right now. As well as the seats I think I've decided to go with and the culprit of my coolant leak. Oh, and some tool box porn :p

The box is looking good!

As far as the paint thing, try getting involved in some car clubs in the area. The only problem with asking car people, is everyone will tell you "Hey man, go to my boy" etc.

And sometimes they have a tendency to put other people down. However, the guy that I recommend around here has been used by several members of the forum because he consistently turns out top notch work. I just got lucky and found a great painter after recommendation from a friend.

Excited to see it drive!

Got my Braum seats in today. Honest first opinion is that I'm impressed with the the quality I'm seeing. Time will tell how they hold up but I think they look better than the manufacturers pictures. I sat in them on the living room floor and they fit my good. I'm 6'0 225lbs and have a 36 inch waist and I felt held in good but not uncomfortably. More of a review and install will come once the brackets show up!

Also got my special carbon fiber s281 wing. Good quality piece as well. I now see what he hype was about haha
Almost everything is here now for her to go to paint on April first!

Test fit that spoiler. Dont be surprised if the upper left doesnt line up or if the edges hit your quarter pannel as both mine did that. That includes the cf one
